Refund Policy
This policy explains how refund requests work for paid Journi purchases made through Paddle checkout.
1. Paddle handles paid web purchases
Paid web purchases for Journi are processed by Paddle as merchant of record and authorized reseller. Paddle
handles payment collection, taxes, invoices, buyer payment support, chargebacks, and approved refunds.
Paddle's Buyer Terms and
Refund Policy apply to Paddle transactions. If
Paddle's terms give you additional rights, or if local consumer law gives you non-waivable rights, those
rights apply.
2. Subscriptions
Paid subscriptions renew automatically until canceled. You may cancel future renewals through the Paddle receipt
or customer portal when available in the app. Canceling a subscription stops future renewal charges but does not
automatically refund charges already paid.
Unless required by law or approved by Paddle, subscription fees already charged are non-refundable. After
cancellation, paid access normally continues until the end of the current paid period unless a refund, failed
payment, policy violation, or account termination ends access sooner.
3. Add-on image credits
Add-on image credits and other one-time digital purchases are generally non-refundable once delivered or used,
unless a refund is required by law or approved by Paddle.
If an image generation job fails before delivering an image, Journi may automatically restore the reserved
usage credit. Restored usage credits are not cash refunds.
4. Defective service or mandatory consumer rights
Nothing in this policy limits mandatory consumer rights. If Journi is not as described, faulty, unavailable due
to an issue under Journi's control, or otherwise covered by a non-waivable legal refund right, Paddle or
Journi will review the request under the rights that apply to your purchase.
5. How to request a refund
To request a refund, use the View receipt or Manage subscription link in your Paddle transaction email, use the
Paddle customer portal when available in Journi, or contact Paddle buyer support through the support link on
your receipt or at paddle.net.
You can also contact support@usejourni.com with your
Journi account email, approximate purchase date, and a short description of the issue. Do not send private
journal text unless it is necessary for the support request.
6. Effects of a refund
If a refund is granted, access to the refunded subscription period, add-on, feature, or image credits may be
removed. Refund abuse, fraud, chargeback abuse, or misuse of checkout may lead to account suspension or
termination.
