These terms govern access to Journi, a private journaling service operated by Journi.
Journi is provided by Journi. By creating an account, opening the app, starting checkout, or using Journi, you agree to these Terms of Service, the Privacy Notice, and the Refund Policy.
Journi is currently beta software. Features, limits, pricing, integrations, and availability may change as the product is improved.
Journi lets users write private journal entries, organize them, and add generated or uploaded images that support the writing. The service may include free plans, paid subscriptions, and add-on image credits.
You need a supported account sign-in method and an internet connection to use the hosted app. You are responsible for keeping your account secure and for activity under your account.
You are responsible for the journal content you create. Do not use Journi to create or store unlawful, abusive, exploitative, deceptive, or infringing material, or to violate another person's privacy, intellectual property, or safety.
Do not attempt to disrupt the service, bypass usage limits, reverse engineer non-public parts of the app, misuse checkout or refunds, or access another user's account or content without permission.
Paid web checkout, subscription billing, invoices, taxes, payment collection, chargebacks, and buyer payment support are handled by Paddle as merchant of record and authorized reseller. Paddle's Buyer Terms and Refund Policy apply to Paddle transactions. Paddle's checkout shows the final price, taxes where applicable, billing interval, renewal terms, and any required payment details before you complete payment.
Paid subscriptions renew automatically until canceled. You can cancel or manage a subscription through the Paddle receipt, the Paddle customer portal when available in the app, or support. Canceling stops future renewals but does not automatically refund charges already paid.
If a payment fails, access to paid features may be retried, limited, downgraded, or suspended. If a refund is granted for a paid plan or add-on, access to the refunded plan period, feature, or credits may end.
Generated images may vary in style, quality, accuracy, and availability. You should review generated images before relying on or sharing them. Usage limits, included generations, and add-on credits are shown in the app or pricing materials and may change during beta.
If an image generation job fails before delivering an image, Journi may automatically restore the reserved usage credit. Restored usage credits are not cash refunds.
You keep ownership of the journal text, uploaded images, and other content you add to Journi. You grant Journi the limited rights needed to host, store, process, display, back up, and transmit that content so the service can work.
Journi does not use private journal content for marketing analytics. Support may ask you to provide specific content only when needed to investigate an issue you report.
Journi may add, change, suspend, or remove features, limits, plans, or integrations. The service is provided using third-party infrastructure and may be interrupted by maintenance, outages, security events, abuse prevention, or provider issues.
Journi, the app design, software, branding, and documentation are owned by Journi or its licensors. These terms do not transfer ownership of Journi software or branding to you.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Journi is provided as is and as available. Journi does not promise that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or suitable for every use.
Nothing in these terms limits rights that cannot be limited under applicable law, including mandatory consumer rights. Where liability can be limited, Journi's liability is limited to the amount you paid for Journi in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim.
You may stop using Journi at any time. Journi may suspend or terminate access if you violate these terms, create risk for other users or the service, fail to pay for paid access, or use the service in a way that may violate law or Paddle's applicable requirements.
